The evening began with eager fans lining up from as early as 5 pm, sharing memories of past Eurovision experiences and buzzing with anticipation over meeting their favourite stars in a pre-show meet and greet. Although the Tivoli’s small awning barely shielded them from the relentless rain, fan spirits remained unshaken. Just as thunder cracked and lightning lit up the sky, the doors finally opened, ushering drenched but delighted fans inside.

Show Highlights

Hosts Senhit and Soraya took the stage with natural charisma, setting the tone for an evening of unity, nostalgia, and high-energy Eurovision magic. Their playful banter felt genuine, creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere that made the audience feel part of the Eurovision family.

Denmark – Emmelie De Forest

Emmelie’s performance was serene, with sweet vocals and an angelic, inclusive dance routine that set the show’s tone of love without boundaries. The contemporary dance, highlighted by same-sex kisses between performers, embodied the spirit of Eurovision’s inclusivity.

Ireland – Linda Martin

Linda shone in a sparkly blue dress, her warm personality and Irish charm delighting the crowd. Her relatable style and connection with the audience reaffirmed Ireland’s place in Eurovision history.

Romania – Ovi and Ilinca

Bringing upbeat fun to the stage, the duo’s rendition of “Yodel It!” included an interactive yodelling lesson for the audience, making them part of the performance. Their vibrant costumes and energetic spirit had the crowd cheering and yodelling along.

Malta – Destiny

Destiny’s powerhouse vocals left the audience spellbound. She delivered a flawless and deeply moving ballad, with each note building towards an anthemic crescendo that captured the crowd’s admiration.

Spain – Soraya

Doubling as host and performer, Soraya’s vibrant energy and love for the stage were infectious. Her passionate expression and connection with the audience made her performance a true highlight.

Australia – Dami Im

Returning to Brisbane, Dami received thunderous applause from the home crowd. Her powerful, emotive performance embodied Australian resilience and pride, reminding everyone why she remains a national Eurovision icon.

Italy – Jalisse

Jalisse’s duet brought a charming blend of Italian passion and elegance to the stage. Their chemistry and warmth were palpable as they taught the audience some Italian phrases, adding a touch of authenticity and flair.

Portugal – Suzy

With a conga line that snaked through the theatre, Suzy brought the party atmosphere of Eurovision directly to the fans. Her spirited performance turned the Tivoli into a joyful moshpit, celebrating Eurovision’s festival energy.

San Marino – Senhit

Senhit delivered an electrifying performance, breaking conventions with style. Her dancers brought “Adrenalina” to life, with dynamic energy and a dazzling light show that highlighted her fearless spirit.

Netherlands – Esther Hart

Esther’s ballad showcased her deep, soulful voice and a heartfelt connection with the audience, bringing a touch of Dutch charm to the evening and transporting the audience to another world.

Moldova – Sunstroke Project

With their iconic saxophonist, Sunstroke Project had the audience waving inflatable saxophones in homage. Their energy and the crowd’s enthusiasm turned the venue into a true Eurovision dance floor.

Azerbaijan – Efendi

Dressed in gold, Efendi exuded regal elegance, captivating the audience with her energetic and poised stage presence. Her regal charm made for a standout performance.

United Kingdom – Nicki French

Nicki’s performance paid homage to Eurovision’s enduring legacy, celebrating the connection with fans worldwide. Her Abba tribute alongside Linda Martin and Esther Hart on “Waterloo” was a showstopper, capturing the crowd’s love for Eurovision classics.

Lithuania – The Roop

Donning quirky yellow outfits, The Roop’s performance was eclectic and playful. They even acknowledged the lone Lithuanian flag in the audience, creating a heartwarming moment for fans.

Cyprus – Silia Kapsis

Despite her youth, Silia commanded the stage with her powerful, high-energy dance moves. Her well-rehearsed performance and natural stage presence reflected her dedication to the craft.

The show’s dancers were a spectacle in themselves, with impressive costume changes and captivating choreography. Some outfits were unexpectedly quirky – a nod to Eurovision’s love for eccentricity – but their elegance and skill were a constant, bringing extra flair to the performances.

Finale-

The closing number, catchy and unifying, brought everyone together despite one audience member’s vocal protest. This final song captured the essence of Eurovision: unity, energy, and the power of music to bring people together.

With a stellar show from start to finish, Senhit and Soraya deserve their own platform – an Instagram show, perhaps? Their rapport and energy made the Tivoli’s Eurovision night a true celebration of music, diversity, and fan dedication.
