The Melbourne 2024 Comedy Festival is in full swing, and I had the wonderful pleasure and privilege to attend one of this year’s little gems.

Australian-born Jacqueline Mifsud is anything but a regular stand-up presenter. Her latest production “The Full Mifsud” is a must-see event.

Everyone who attended was blown away by her natural ability to make people laugh. This unapologetic comedian is a hurricane of freshness as she unfolds the true aspects of her life’s journey in grabs of snapshots.

This wordsmith paints a solid picture from her perspective and neatly integrates the internal dialogue as it is happening. Leaving nothing out of the total package, including the landscape, so that everything is clearly illustrated.

This 360-degree scan of the scene and situation helps to punctuate the extremely funny aspects of this snapshot.

Mifsud’s physicality is dynamic while never distracting. In fact, it adds to the originality and unique qualities that are part of Mifsud’s personality. She is very natural; what you see is what you get.

Not only is she allowing us to laugh at her expense, but you find yourself laughing at the situation she finds herself in.

From her Maltese parents to her Australian-born identity; from her teenage days to working oversees and returning back to Australia. Every snapshot is not only so very funny, but it’s also amazingly relatable, partly because Mifsud is very relatable, but also because each story is true.

Mifsud’s energy and freshness is captivating and mesmerizing. Her 1 hr. show held everyone; her delivery is outstanding, with clear peroration and uncomplicated language.  It becomes very clear that instinctive comedy is definitely one of Mifsud’s shining lights.
