Weaving from one year into the next rather than starting anew, Season 1, 2026 carries forth bold ideas whilst reminding us of the local, global and our proximities to one another.
We kick off with our Neighbourhood Gathering where we invite audiences to explore the building through a series of visual art offerings, including our new look Supper Room which plays host to a selection of screen works across the year alongside talks on creative practice.
Our partnership with Liquid Architecture continues, bringing the best in sound explorations with a one night only gig featuring Worlds Only & Junior Major.
Immersive music and visuals meet Chinese rituals to reimagine the connections between life and death in Opera for the Dead | 祭歌 by Mindy Meng Wang and Monica Lim.
VIGIL by Outer Urban Projects brings together a compelling creative team of writers, performers, dance artists, and community members to examine the intersections of public and private safety, race, gender, and terror in the streets of our city.
Commissioned through The Warehouse Residency, Specials by Kath Duncan draws from real life experiences of Special School in Australia with a comedic and confronting depiction of the different routes Special Ed takes children on.
Our partnership with RISING continues with two new works both delving into personal histories through very different lenses – more to be revealed in the new year.
Closing out our season is a bold new intergenerational exhibition led by Dr Paola Balla. Grounded in Blak, neurodivergent perspectives, a bit thing is a celebration of the special interests that capture attention, fuel curiosity, and keep spirits strong.
In this season, artists and companies invite us to encounter, question and feel deeply through sound, text and movement, and to take these moments well beyond our town hall walls.
Until the end of the year, book any available ticket for just $20 with the code EARLYBIRD at checkout.
