Australian Comedian, Radio Host and Law Graduate Amos Gill is one of the hottest comedians in Australia and has secured a name for himself as a comic to watch globally – headlining clubs across the USA where he now lives, and firmly securing his name in the UK and Europe as an essential act to watch.
Born and raised in Perth before moving to Adelaide to complete his studies, the history buff and Adelaide Law School graduate spent ten years earning his degree – working on it part time while juggling his career as a stand-up comedian and breakfast radio host, eventually completing the final subject in the airport lounge of LAX in the midst of a US comedy tour before graduating with honours in 2019.
More Talent is thrilled to announce that the over-achieving funnyman is heading back to FRINGE WORLD for ten days only this February 6 to 16. With a limited run of shows in Perth and Fremantle, Amos can be seen at Perth’s Oasis Comedy Club Wednesdays through Sundays, and Fremantle Comedy Factory Friday & Saturday evenings.
A well-known face to Jim Jefferies’ audiences, Amos has gained legions of fans touring with and opening for the comedy heavyweight. The pair have just announced a podcast they’re co-hosting called At This Moment – coming soon to your favourite platform.
With a white-hot 2024 behind him, who knows what 2025 will bring the hometown hero superstar comedian! In February a whopping five shows were added at Perth’s FRINGE WORLD Festival, with Amos then going on to pick up an Adelaide Fringe award for ‘Best Comedy’ in the first week of the season. From there Amos headed back to his adopted home to join some of the world’s biggest names in comedy, including Ali Wong, David Letterman, Chris Rock and Sarah Silverman, on the line-ups of hot-ticket US Comedy Festivals Netflix Is A Joke and Moontower Just For Laughs Austin – before nipping back for a quick stop in Melbourne to record a set for Jim’s upcoming TV show Jim Jefferies and Friends. The show is set to drop later in 2025.
With multiple appearances on TV comedy galas including several Just For Laughs showcases, MICF Opening Night Comedy Allstars Supershow, and ABC2’s Comedy Up Late; Amos was a recurring guest on Australian TV on Celebrity Name Game and Studio Ten, and has even hosted his own TV show – Wacky World Beaters for ABCTV.
Always hilarious, Amos never takes a backward step from harpooning the illogical thought and intellectual apathy that all too often colour the world around us. Acerbic and unafraid of challenging beliefs and “truths” held by all sectors of society, if it’s a no-holds-barred, world-class comedy show you’re after, this is for you.
And following his sell-out season last year, be advised to snap up tickets to see this genuine global headliner while you can!
