Comedy On The Rocks A Theatre Drinking Game

by | May 30, 2024

Returning after sold out shows in the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, which audiences called “A must see of the festival” and “Comedy Pandemonium”, get ready to chuckle and chortle your way through 6 new short comedy plays in Comedy on the Rocks at The Motley Bauhaus.

This June 22nd and 29th, head to Carlton for an afternoon of laughter with your hosts and performers Cat Holder and Caz Dawes and featuring Melbourne comedy writers, James Burgess, Mazz Ryan, Alanis Grocott, Olivia Mitchell and Madeleine Lacy.

Join in the drinking game as each short play includes 3 special moments to look out for on stage: an action: a hi-5, a prop is used: a torch appears, and the line of dialogue: “Six of one, half a dozen of the other”. When you spot the special moment, we all shout “cheers!” loudly together and have a drink (responsibly of course!)

After running as a monthly show at the Motley Bauhaus throughout 2023 and this years Melbourne International Comedy Festival with sold out shows, Comedy On The Rocks is the perfect chance to whet your whistle with what Melbourne’s theatre writers have to offer. Running for 2 hours with 6 different short plays, there’s something to suit everyone’s tastes, and there’s even a raffle on the door and drink prizes!
