FIRST ACTS ANNOUNCED FOR 20TH ANNIVERSARY OF SYDNEY COMEDY FESTIVAL

The Sydney Comedy Festival is excited to announce the first acts appearing in its explosive 20th anniversary year, as it prepares to take over Sydney from 21st April to 18th May 2025.

In 2025, audiences can expect to see 2023 Best of the Fest winner and star and host of ABC’s Guy Mont Spelling Bee, beloved Kiwi oddball Guy Montgomery grace Sydney Comedy Festival stages as well as internationally acclaimed Northern Irish-Australian legend Jimeoin, and long-time Festival favourite Arj Barker.

The 20th Anniversary Festival will also see the return of the Sydney Comedy Festival Gala events from Tuesday 22nd April to Thursday 24th April, at the Enmore Theatre, The Concourse in Chatswood, the Pavilion Performing Arts Centre Sutherland, Paramatta’s Riverside Theatre.

A favourite amongst festivalgoers, the Galas’ stellar line-ups include internationally renowned icons, homegrown talent, and the next-big-things in comedy.

“This is really a celebration of 20 years of the Sydney Comedy Festival. We are so excited for 2025, and we’ll be reaching new venues and new spaces to make for to bring the biggest and best Festival Sydney’s ever seen,” said Sydney Comedy Festival Director Jorge Menidis.
