Award-winning cabaret performer and spoken word artist Amy Bodossian is bringing her critically acclaimed live cabaret talk show, In Bed with Amy & Friends, back to the stage on Friday March 14, 2025, at The Toff in Town in Melbourne’s historic Curtin House.
Supported by a City of Melbourne Creative Arts Grant, this show is one of the first five scheduled at The Toff this year, with additional performances on May 16, June 13, July 11, and August 8. Blending comedy, music, and engaging interviews that combine structured questions with spontaneous banter, this unfiltered show invites audiences into Amy’s intimate onstage “bedroom” for an evening of laughter, raw storytelling, and heartfelt connection. Each performance features Amy and two extraordinary artists: celebrated burlesque and performance artist Maude Davey (The News Reader, Split, Family Next Door), and Kurdish musician, visual artist, and refugee rights activist Farhad Bandesh (star of the Netflix documentary Freedom is Beautiful).
In the show, the artists first deliver a dynamic performance before joining Amy for candid, in-depth interviews about life, art, and the human experience.
Amy’s passion for human connection and storytelling, shaped by her own experiences navigating life’s challenges, infuses this unique show with both humour and heart. Known for her sharp wit and fearless vulnerability, Amy creates a space where guests and audiences alike can shed their masks, embrace their truths, and celebrate what it means to be human.
