Highlights added to the 2026 program include surf rock legends from Northeast Arnhem Land King Stingray performing on the East Perth Power Station Main Stage; Cine Wonders at Luna SX and The Revival House, a curated program of films for the young and the young at heart; Summit, bringing together some of the world’s most compelling creative minds for sessions at Lawson Flats; BlakOut, a First Nations musical take-over on the Casa Musica stage at East Perth Power Station; five extraordinary and sensory virtual-reality experiences at Biomass; and the inimitable The Tiger Lillies, whose darkly comic theatre has captivated audiences around the world, performing at The Embassy.
Perth Festival Artistic Director Anna Reece says: “Our expanded program opens its arms wider this year—welcoming more music, cabaret, First Nations voices, provocative conversations, powerful documentaries, immersive technology and virtual-reality experiences, plus those secret little gigs that make a festival feel alive. It’s a season built to invite people in, spark curiosity and gather the city around stories that matter.”
King Stingray will unleash an unforgettable night of tunes, culture and good vibes at the East Perth Power Station, a Lotterywest community experience, on Friday 27 February. Weaving together ancient language, reverb-drenched guitars and the stirring sound of yidaki, their euphoric live sets channel a deep connection to Country through a blended sound of radiant melodies and raucous rock’n’roll. Singing in English and Yolŋu Matha, the language of the Yolŋu people, they’ll deliver anthems that celebrate identity, language, place and the pure joy of live music, reaffirming their status as one of the country’s most exciting live acts.
