A TWIST OF FATE is a critically-acclaimed horror-comedy play anthology filled with unique twists and turns.
Scary Goats Theatre are thrilled to be bringing A Twist of Fate back to terrorise and titillate audiences at The Motley Bauhaus this July. Inspired by The Twilight Zone and Black Mirror, each season of A Twist of Fate contains four short plays about the unusual and otherworldy, each with their own devastating twist.
A little unnerving, a little thought-provoking and just a little bit campy, you’ll never know what to expect in A Twist of Fate.
After three sold out seasons and two specials in 2025, A Twist of Fate returned in May 2026, and is back again this July for Season 5, which promises to be the company’s most ambitious season yet. Season 5 features four brand new plays penned by local writers Richard Mealey, Charlie Simmons, Caitren Sheather-Reid and Chloe Towan and performed by an ensemble of actors including Richard Melaey, Seon Williams, Jess Budin, Tayla Harry, Corey M. Glamuzina, Ben Fox, Max Nunes-Cesar and Kate Weston, under the direction of Patrick Slee, Kate Weston and Chloe Towan. This season explores genre and format, using timeloops, vampires, robots and dimensional portals to tell stories of love, sacrifice, forgiveness and female empowerment. A highlight of this season will be a silent film come to life, a first for the company and incorporating a mix of projections, puppetry and live performance.
