I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Cooking For is an award-winning participatory cooking competition based on Jamie Oliver’s bestselling book 30 Minute Meals, premiering at this year’s Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
Every night a different comedian will attempt to cook a Jamie Oliver 30 Minute Meal in 30 minutes – live in front of the audience!
Confirmed guests for this MICF season include Ahir Shah (Winner Best Show – Edinburgh Comedy Awards 2023), Sofie Hagen, Olga Koch, Chris Parker, Vidya Rajan & Ash Flanders, with more to be announced.
The audience will judge their food, rate their skills out of ten and follow the cutthroat competition – before an overall winner is crowned and bathed in comic culinary glory. Our busy comedian cook will answer a never-ending stream of personal and political questions whilst juggling the mains, entrée and dessert, pitted against time itself and then thrown upon the mercy of the audience.
The show is created by Melbourne-based performance collective Stage Mom (Hannah Fallowfield & Alberto Di Troia), and this season sees award-winning artist Bron Batten joining the team as co-producer and performer, alongside Hannah Fallowfield.
“Jamie promises us that if you can just crank out a gourmet three-course meal in under thirty minutes, your life will improve in every possible way” says Hannah. “But what if you’re a comedian in a community kitchen at an international comedy festival? We’re going to find out exactly how messy things get in the pursuit of Jamie’s quest.”
After sell out seasons at Melbourne Fringe 2019 and Sydney Fringe 2022, Stage Mom is ready to give audiences an outrageous, hilarious and totally unique Comedy Festival experience.
