Stage School Australia’s first-ever Brisbane production: The Wizard of Oz

Stage School Australia is excited to announce that tickets are now on sale for their first-ever Brisbane production: The Wizard of Oz, set to captivate audiences at The Draney Theatre, Ashgrove, from the 25th to the 28th of September 2024. This magical production, perfectly timed for the September school holidays, promises to be an unforgettable experience for the whole family.

“We are incredibly excited to bring The Wizard of Oz to Brisbane,” said Elysia Krstevski, from Stage School Australia. “This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the extraordinary talent in Brisbane. We can’t wait to see the energy and passion they bring to the stage. It’s going to be a spectacular show.”

Stage School Australia is renowned for its programs and productions for young people. Each year, thousands of children and young adults participate in performance training with the organisation, culminating in fully costumed and staged theatrical productions twice a year.

Recently, Stage School has produced sell out productions of Les Misérables (2019) and Wicked (2018) at the National Theatre, as well as revival productions of Shrek the Musical Jr (2024), Spring Awakening (2023), Oliver! Jr. (2023) and Seussical (2023). In addition, Stage School Australia has produced many independent theatre seasons including Honk Jr (2017), The Secret Garden (2016), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (2014), Seussical (2013) and Spring Awakening (2011) plus many productions in the Disney Junior Series, including Beauty and the Beast Jr, Alice in Wonderland Jr, Aladdin Jr and The Little Mermaid Jr.
