SYDNEY COMEDY FESTIVAL ACTS ANNOUNCED

by | Dec 6, 2024

The Sydney Comedy Festival is thrilled to announce the latest additions to its electrifying 20th anniversary year as it prepares to take over Sydney stages from 21st April to 18th May 2025.

Joining Guy Montgomery, Jimeoin, and Arj Barker is Silver Logie Award-winning co-host of Network 10’s The Cheap Seats and Thank God You’re Here favourite Melanie Bracewell, alongside much-loved icon of the Australian comedy scene, Nazeem Hussain. Plus, keep your eyes peeled for the return of South African hotshot Schalk Bezuidenhout, and long-time Festival favourite, the hilarious Becky Lucas. We’re also excited to welcome award-winning Danish comedian and podcaster Sofie Hagen for her first ever Sydney Comedy Festival.

In 2025, the Festival will bring a dazzling line-up of the world’s funniest comedians all throughout Sydney, returning to the Sydney Opera House with the Gala on 25th April, before heading to Penrith’s Joan Sullivan Performing Arts Centre for the first time ever, beginning with an all-star Gala followed by shows with Melanie Bracewell, Nazeem Hussain and more to come. The last week of the Festival will also see a Bondi Pavillion takeover with hilarious acts on night after night.

The 2025 Festival will also see the return of Best of the Fest from Friday 25th April to Sunday 18th May at the Factory Floor, and the Sydney Comedy Festival Showcase at Comedy Store from Thursday 24th April – Saturday 17th May.

Both events will feature a hand-picked selection of the Festival’s freshest acts with jam-packed performances from international and local comedic juggernauts.

“We are so excited for 2025 to be our biggest Festival yet, expanding to new hubs and bringing the comedy and the joy to more of New South Wales,” said Sydney Comedy Festival Director Jorge Menidis.

Tickets are on sale now via www.sydneycomedyfest.com.au with more acts to be announced soon.
