Dance will take centre stage for the remainder of Merrigong’s 2026 season. With three unique productions in succession of each other, audiences are invited to experience dance in all its forms.
FuturesPast by Bangarra Dance Theatre is an Australian-exclusive for Merrigong Theatre Company, drawing from Mirning woman and Bangarra’s Artistic Director and Co-CEO, Frances Rings’ choreographic career. FuturesPast embodies the spirit, artistry, and strength that define Bangarra’s work, on from 17 – 19 September at Illawarra Performing Arts Centre.
Service, a MerrigongX production, is born out of local creative, Lachlan Grogan’s own experience working in the hospitality industry, serving up a high-octane dance-theatre collision, diving headfirst into the controlled chaos of the industry, on from 24 – 26 September at Illawarra Performing Arts Centre.
To close out their 2026 season, The Choir of Man brings a glorious new “pub choir” experience, with 90 minutes of high energy harmonies and foot-stomping choreography performed by nine mates, in a feel-good musical for all ages, on from 30 September – 4 October at Illawarra Performing Arts Centre.
