Tom Gleeson is a gold-plated comedy superstar, hosting ratings smashes and filling theatres across the country. He’s played rowdy RSLs and filled the Sydney Opera House. There isn’t a corner of this country that he hasn’t performed in.
And later this year, he’s taking a brand new show, Out of Touch, on the road, kicking off in Wangaratta in October and taking in dozens of cities and towns across the country – including Sydney Opera House and seasons at Adelaide Fringe Festival and Melbourne Comedy Festival in 2026.
“I can’t wait to tour Australia with my brand new stand up show,” said Tom. “Performing live is my natural state. If you think the banter on my TV shows is loose, wait until you see me live. I’m probably the only TV star in Australia who’s happy to stand on stage and cop abuse from the audience. Come along and heckle! You never know, you might get the better of me. (You won’t.)”
On ABC TV’s The Weekly, Tom’s segment Hard Chat begat his own show Hard Quiz, which not only blitzes the ratings as it enters its eleventh season, but also earned Tom Australian television’s gong of gongs – the Gold Logie, which rubs against his five AACTAs on his very crowded trophy shelf.
Given his natural disdain for the public, Tom couldn’t resist the chance to apply it to his fellow comedians as the host of Network Ten’s Taskmaster Australia, now in its sixth season.
